A Legacy of Winning

The Nazareth community is the home to great champions and the Nazareth Area Blue Eagle Marching Band is in an elite class. Since the Blue Eagles embarked on their competitive field show journey in 1980, the band has amassed an impressive amount of victories, now over 200. The band capped their 2025 season by winning the Cavalcade of Bands – Yankee Open Championship, sweeping High Music, High Visual, and High Overall Effect — their fifth consecutive Yankee Open title and sixth championship season overall since 2019. They also won the Group 4 Open US Bands National Championship in 2010, among many others. They compete almost every weekend from September to November, both locally and nationally, and are currently in the thick of their 2026 competitive season. Under the direction of Matthew Tanzos, the Nazareth Area Blue Eagle Marching Band is proud to continue their winning legacy. Whether they are supporting our football team or performing as a competitive group of their own, the band is proud to represent the Nazareth Area School District and the greater Nazareth community.
